EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS All volunteers/employees are subject to employment based on successful completion of mandatory education, safety, and code of conduct training. Preference is given to candidates who possess or can easily obtain the necessary education and safety requirements. SAFETY EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS All coaches are required to obtain and maintain current safety credentials. This includes first-aid, CPR, lifeguarding/safety training for swim coaches. In addition, coach MUST take and pass the ASCA Level 1 Training program within one year of the beginning of their employment. Click here to view more on education/safety requirements. PRE-EMPLOYMENT SCREENING Per a 2011 mandate by USA Swimming, all employees will be subject to a pre-employment screening process. We are required to contact previous employers, conduct a driving record abstract, and verify education (you must send us a copy of your educational transcripts). BACKGROUND CHECKS USA Swimming has contracted Acxiom Information Security Services to provide a new background check program for these members. Acxiom is an industry leader with 40 years experience.
