In addition to training swimmers, we aim to help educate the parents about swimming and our training methods. Swimming is unlike any other sport. There is TONS of constant repetitious and sometimes boring drill work involved. Unlike other sports, a lot of the focus is individual rather than a team. It offers a unique challenge to parents as well as coaches in addressing the ever-changing needs of the swimmers.
USA Swimming offers a HUGE wealth of knowledge for parents. We encourage you to take some time and read the information. If you have any questions, please contact the coaches.

We appreciate and encourage feedback. This feedback helps us to design, build, and refirbish our programs. Our goal is to be the best training center for the serious swimmers and to do that we have to stay on the leading edge of the sport.

Welcome to the Des Plaines River Racers summer program. We are committed to being the best swim experience you've ever had. As you browse the pages, most coaches have an email address. You are encouraged to communicate via email to set up appointments.

OFFICIALS
The River Racers know proudly announce three officials within our program. Officials are volunteer positions that are necessary to make meets work! All parents are encouraged to get involved. Best part is, on-deck access at meets and other neat registration perks!

We are very excited to have begun a new program schedule and so far have been pleased with the changes. While chaos is always inevitable when major changes are done, we believe the schedule change will be the best for our swimmer's yet!
We are excited about the challenges of more swimmers and new places.
